Florida State flips 2025 QB Kevin Sperry from Oklahoma
Denton (Texas) Guyer three-star quarterback Kevin Sperry has flipped his commitment from Oklahoma to Florida State, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
He was pledged to the Sooners since March 13, but is now the latest senior QB to swerve directions ahead of the Early Signing Period and is now set to head to Tallahassee.
Sperry is the No. 448 overall prospect and No. 31 QB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 65 player in Texas.
FSU held a longtime pledge from Jacksonville Mandarin four-star QB Tramell Jones, but the in-state signal-caller decommitted last week and subsequently committed to the Florida Gators. Sperry is now set to join the Noles’ class, which is back to 13 total commits.
As a senior in 11 games, Sperry has thrown for over 2,000 yards and 21 touchdowns to seven interceptions. Guyer is 8-3 and amidst a playoff run, with its next game against Pearce set for this Friday.
