Florida leading the way for coveted in-state DB target

On3’s No. 8 safety CJ Hester is fresh off another terrific visit to Florida and says he’s locked in his official visit.
Hester will be in Gainesville the weekend of May 30. The Cocoa (Fla.) High blue-chipper adds that UF is running No. 1 heading into the next wave of his recruitment.
“Just the relationship I have with them,” Hester said. “I talk to them almost everyday.
“Every time I go up there they make me feel like a priority.”
Hester gave the recent visit for the spring game strong returns as well.
“The environment was electric and the crowd was loud,” Hester said. “I really like the culture and how everybody shows a lot of love. You can tell they are trying build a great team.”
On3 ranks Hester as the nation’s No. 108 prospect overall. Auburn, Iowa, Syracuse and UCLA also have officials on the calendar. LSU, Miami and Georgia are a few others in play.
Florida has two early commits in the 2026 class and Hester is a top target in the cycle.
