Florida is sitting ‘so high’ with 4-star RB
If the Gators were to win out for Ousmane Kromah, Billy Napier‘s staff would have arguably the top running back duo for the 2025 cycle.
Fellow 4-star prospect Waltez Clark has been committed since last September, and as for Kromah, Florida is currently on his short list ahead of an official visit on June 14-16.
Representing Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County, Kromah is the No. 4 running back and No. 69 prospect in his class. That is according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
“I like Florida a lot; I like them. They’re tough,” Kromah told On3’s Jeremy Johnson. “I think they’re getting better. They’ve been a little iffy in the past, but they are finding the pieces they need to grow as a staff and team. You just like to be around a team that is always growing and improving, and that’s one of the reasons why they are so high on my list.”
Florida checks several boxes for Kromah
Like Clark, Kromah was inside the Swamp for a home game last season. That trip altogether allowed him to get a much better feel for those running the show, especially running backs coach Jabbar Juluke.
“They got great people,” said Kromah. “They got good people and they also have good drip. They’ve got good clothing.”
Proximity isn’t a disadvantage either, as Gainesville is roughly a three-hour drive from the ball carrier’s home. At the same time, however, it’s not a main focal point in Kromah’s criteria.
“It’s a plus, but it doesn’t really matter if they are close or not,” said Kromah.
Additional programs on the official visit schedule are Miami (May 31), Florida State (June 7) and Georgia (June 21). The Seminoles, according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, hold the slight advantage with odds of 34.1 percent.
