Florida Gators vs. Florida State betting lines, over/under
The Florida Gators were double-digit underdogs in three of their past four games. But now, it’s Florida’s turn to be a heavy favorite when the Gators play at Florida State next weekend to cap the regular season.
Per betting lines from FanDuel, Florida currently is a 13.5-point favorite (-110) against the Seminoles, whom the Gators face in Tallahassee, Fla., this coming Saturday on ESPN2. The money line for Florida as a double-digit favorite is -580 with FSU being at +420 as the underdog.
The over/under is set at 46.5.
Florida, now 6-5 overall and 4-4 in the SEC, shocked No. 9 Ole Miss, a double-digit favorite, 24-17 on Saturday in The Swamp. The Gators also won the previous Saturday as a single-digit underdog at home vs. then-No. 22 LSU. In the two games prior, Florida was a double-digit underdog vs. Texas and Georgia, respectively, and lost both games.
No. 9 Ole Miss had a spot in the College Football Playoff in its sights entering Saturday’s game. But the Gators had other plans. Florida quarterback DJ Lagway was 10 of 17 for 180 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. Meanwhile, Gators safety Bryce Thornton had two interceptions — both in the final two minutes of the game with Florida clinging to a lead. Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart passed for 323 yards and two touchdowns, but his picks were costly. Meanwhile, the Rebs were only 3 of 14 on third down.
FSU won Saturday at home, 41-7 against an FCS Charleston Southern team that now is 1-11. The Seminoles improved to 2-9 and 2-4 at home. Their only win this season against a FBS school came against Cal in September.
Florida leads the all-time series against FSU 37-28-2. But the ‘Noles currently own a two-game winning streak over the Gators. Florida is 14-14-1 all-time in Tallahassee.
