Florida Gators’ final injury report for Georgia game
The Florida Gators issued an updated availability report on Saturday along with Georgia. It’s the final of four injury reports this week released before the Gators (4-3, 2-2 SEC) face the No. 2 Bulldogs (6-1, 4-1 SEC) in Jacksonville at 3:30 p.m. on ABC.
Two UF starters, running back Montrell Johnson Jr. and offensive lineman Dameion George Jr., are as game-time decisions. Johnson and George went through pregame warmups in shirts and shorts 90 minutes before kickoff.
Both had been listed as questionable. Johnson suffered a knee injury at Tennessee and missed the Kentucky game but has practiced this week. George has started all seven games this season at right guard after starting at right tackle last year.
If Johnson is unable to play Saturday, true freshman Jadan Baugh would make his second career start against his home state school. UF also has redshirt junior Ja’Kobi Jackson and true freshman KD Daniels at the running back position, which is without sophomore Treyaun Webb.
If George is out, the Gators will likely give redshirt freshman Bryce Lovett his first career start. They have also started redshirt junior Kamryn Waites at right guard in the past, but Lovett played as the second-string right guard against Kentucky while Waites has seen snaps at left guard in recent games.
The Gators have at least 10 players out on Saturday, including seven starters. If George and Johnson join the list, they would be down nine starters.
Georgia had two players come off its final injury report, with offensive lineman Tate Rutledge and defensive lineman Jordan Hall both cleared to play after being listed as probable this week.
