Florida Atlantic signs Dusty May to massive ten-year contract extension
After leading the Florida Atlantic Owls to the Final Four, coach Dusty May has received recognition for his work with a contract extension. For leading the Owls to the Final Four with a school-record 35-4 season, May has been given a ten-year contract extension to lock him up with the school for the future.
Before the 2022-23 season, Florida Atlantic had reached the NCAA Tournament just one time where they failed to win in their first game. May took the Owls past their first tournament win in school history — all the way to one game from a shot at the championship in Houston.
“The Owls had a historic season under head coach Dusty May, and we are very pleased with his contract extension,” said FAU President Stacy Volnick in an official statement. “We are incredibly excited about the future of Florida Atlantic men’s basketball and look forward to more winning seasons with Coach May at the helm.”
