Five-star WR Cam Coleman names Kentucky among top schools

There is movement in Cam Coleman‘s highly-anticipated recruitment out of Alabama. The Phenix City product and five-star wide receiver narrowed his list of schools in consideration down to eight, naming Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, and Texas A&M among his finalists.

Your University of Kentucky Wildcats made the cut, too.

“AGTG (All Glory To God),” Coleman tweeted Monday afternoon in reply to a graphic listing his eight finalists.

Heading into his senior season, Coleman is ranked as the 10th-best high school senior in the entire country. He is also considered the top player in talent-rich Alabama and the third-best wide receiver nationally, per On3’s Industry Comparison.

Coleman is No. 6 nationally in the 2024 On300.

Auburn is the school to watch

Auburn is the presumed leader in Coleman’s recruitment, according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). The Tigers hold 77.9 percent of the predictions for Auburn’s home-state talent after hosting Coleman on a visit to the Plains last week. He has said in the past that Auburn is “close to home and feels like home.”

Still, Kentucky is still in the fight for the 6-foot-3 wide receiver with one of the highest ceilings in the 2024 class. On3’s Charles Power said of Coleman, “Cam Coleman’s a twitched-up receiver with projectable size and length who is arguably the most physically-gifted pass catcher in the 2024 cycle.”

Coleman has not set a timeline for his final decision.
