Five-Star Quarterback Jared Curtis Names Top 6
Oregon remains in the mix for at least a couple of top quarterbacks in the 2026 class. However Oregon has a commitment from four-star quarterback Jonas Williams. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder is the No. 6 ranked quarterback in his class per the On3 Industry Rankings.
But the nation’s No. 1 quarterback Jared Curtis named his top six schools moments ago. The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder is the No. 4 player nationally in the On3 Industry Rankings.
Those six schools include: Oregon, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Auburn and Ohio State.
Curtis was previously committed to Georgia before opening up his recruitment. Coming out of that decision, the 5-Star had named Oregon his new leader. Since he has remained open to a number of schools including those top six.
His next known visit is to Alabama in early February for their junior day. Curtis does not have a date for a new decision but is planning on taking more visits.
Last month, Curtis told On3’s Chad Simmons said the plan is to take his official visits before making a commitment this time.
“I will wait until official visits to make my decision,” Curtis said. “I will get out more. When official visits open up, I will get down on some visits, see the school and see what I like about it.
“The factors when I make a decision will be the coaching staff, my relationship with the coaching staff and the class they bring in this year. Those and the class I would bring in with me would be the biggest things.”
NFL Comparison: Matthew Stafford
Jared Curtis’ top shelf arm talent and ability to make plays outside of structure remind us of Matthew Stafford at the same stage. Curtis has a bigger frame than Stafford, while Stafford was more proven against top competition playing at a high level of Texas high school football.
