Five-Star ATH Michael Terry Updates Commitment Timeline
It was a busy few weeks for Alamo Heights (Texas) athlete Michael Terry. The five-star has done a good job keeping his list of schools manageable and says he doesn’t feel overly stressed by the process.
The 6-foot-2, 211-pounder is the No. 28 ranked player nationally and top ranked athlete in the country per the On3 Industry Rankings. He has the skillset to play multiple positions at the collegiate level including running back, receiver or tight end.
Although Texas A&M had been among his final four, it looks like Terry has decided to eliminate the Aggies and move forward with just three schools.
“Oregon, Nebraska and Texas all are a blessing to get recruited by. All three have very knowledgeable coaches. I got to see all 3 practice and see the bond and relationships between players and staff on the field and off the field. I’m focusing on these three schools.”
The Ducks remain a key school in his recruitment. However Texas and Nebraska do have the distance advantage. Terry said that won’t be an issue in his decision.
“Oregon plays an advanced offense and that’s what I like. Distance isn’t a factor for me. My parents love the staff.”
And the key question, where is he at with a decision?
“As far as commitment I’m in no rush. And as far as a date, I’ll announce a date when the time comes. Right now I’m just focusing on school and high school football. I do know when I commit I won’t be decommitting from that school. My decision is a life commitment.”
