Fast-rising Peach State DB Chandler Jordan talks early interest in Tennessee

Atlanta, Ga.– 2025 North Gwinnett (Ga.) defensive back Chandler Jordan started his junior campaign on Saturday night at Mercedes Benz stadium against Mill Creek High School. Following the outing, the fast-rising defensive back discussed his recent offer from Tennessee and much more with Volquest.

“It was great,” Jordan said of his recruitment picking up over the summer. “Knowng my hard work was paying off. Being able to get a return and a reward on that was great for me. That experience was great for me. I hope to keep balling out and doing my thing so I can get that attention and keep on going.”

Jordan picked up the offer on June 23rd as he impressed the Tennessee staff throuhgout the session.

“They said they loved my patience, size and ability to cover,” Jordan said of this. “That was great to hear coming from them. They told me they wanted to see me more aggressive when in press coverage. They are a team that has had success, especially at the DB level and sending people to the league, so I was honored to hear that. I was honored to receive that offer.”

“I have been working at exactly what they were telling me to do,” Jordan added. “With my size, speed and physicality, I could see myself fitting into what they do. They have talked to me more about playing as a corner, but with what I can do, I can fit multiple roles in the secondary.”

As conversation has continued between Jordan and defensive coordinator Tim Banks, he has enjoyed hearing more from them about the game.

“Just giving me pointers and having conversations about my game,” Jordan said of what the conversation centers around. “It has been great talking to them periodically. Getting to know the staff more has been great.”

“Their character and the fact they are good coaches,” Jordan added of what has stood out about the Tennessee staff. “They really care about you and you can tell. They love what they do and want to uplift everybody.”

Jordan is currently taking the process in stride as he will focus on multiple aspects of each program he considers, especially the way he can be used in the secondary and the culture around a program. He currently does not have a timeline for a decsion.
