Fast-rising 2026 QB Faizon Brandon talks Tennessee offer after strong camp showing

2026 Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley High School quarterback Faizon Brandon camped at Tennessee on Sunday and picked up an offer from the Vols after a strong showing. Following the outing, he detailed the offer and more with Volquest.

“I came up earlier in the day for a tour and a photoshoot, and it was great,” Brandon said of what he enjoyed about the visit. “They showed me a lot of history about this place, and I really liked it. I like how they take care of their players. Everybody is a fan of Tennessee, and I learned about how they got the Volunteers as a mascot and stuff.”

During the camp, he enjoyed the instruction from the Tennessee coaching staff.

“They showed me what I needed to work on, but they were also able to show me all of the things I did well and why,” the fast-rising prospect said of his time at camp. “They gave me a lot of good pointers on what to do and what not to do.”

He was consistent throughout the day, routinely earning praise from the coaches, and it resulted in an offer, which he was hoping for.

“I wouldn’t say I was expecting it, but I knew they had been by my school to watch me, so when I came down here for them to see me throw in person, I was hoping for it,” Brandon said of this. “I am very grateful for it and excited about it.”

When Tennessee offered, they were specific and to the point on what they liked about his game.

“They liked the way I am competitive and that I don’t get too up or too down,” he said. “They just like the way I am focused and how I like the ball.”

For the 2026 signal-caller, who already holds offers from N.C. State, Louisville, Duke and Virginia Tech, among others, there is still room for his game to grow.

“I think my accuracy and leadership are both pretty good,” Brandon said of this. “I want to keep getting better at leadership and see my anticipation (when throwing the ball) grow.”

He plans to return to Tennessee this fall to take in a game at Neyland Stadium.
