ESPN features Patrick Mahomes celebrating with fan after made putt, later misses critical play showing star QB

Patrick Mahomes was in the building at his alma mater Monday night to watch Texas Tech basketball take on Houston. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was featured several times during the ESPN broadcast.
That included during the first half when a fan in attendance nailed a full-court length golf putt at one of the timeout breaks. The crowd obviously went wild as cameras captured the fan running over to Mahomes, who was sitting courtside, and celebrated with him. You can view that moment below.
That wasn’t the only time Mahomes was featured on the broadcast, however, and the second time had some fans upset. During a critical play down the stretch, the cameras panned over to Mahomes celebrating after a made free throw but missed the action in the process.
Texas Tech’s defense had trapped Cougars guard Milos Uzan and forced him to call a timeout while bringing the ball up the court with a 62-59 lead and 1:06 remaining.
Thankfully, there weren’t any other issues the rest of the way as the cameras stayed on the court. Texas Tech would go on to fall against Houston by a score of 69-61.
