Elite OT Jordan Seaton previews fall visits, schools of interest

Elite Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton has a bit of a way to go in his recruitment, but he’s beginning to narrow down which schools he wants to see before signing day.

Seaton, the No. 23 overall prospect in the 2024 On300, has set up five to six visits for this fall. Among those is an unofficial visit to Alabama. Seaton officially visited the Crimson Tide in June, and wants to get back to Tuscaloosa during the season.

“It’s ‘Bama,” Seaton told On3 on his interest in Alabama. “Coach (Eric) Wolford at Kentucky, he offered me. And when he got to ‘Bama, him and Saban offered me again. So just having that relationship, a real long relationship with coach Wolford, that’s kind of been in the works for a long time.”

Florida in good spot, Seaton testing waters at South Carolina

Florida and South Carolina have also made impressions on Seaton. In Gainesville, it’s the energy that Billy Napier’s staff brings that stood out to the star offensive tackle.

“What stands out to me about Florida is Rob Sale,” Seaton said. “And especially coach Billy Napier. When he brought me to his office. . . he has that energy that’s just like, yeah you can be around this guy. So I feel like if the Gators are doing what they’re doing, they’re in a good spot right now.”

As for South Carolina, it’s all about getting to learn about the program and the people when he goes on his official visit to Columbia this fall.

“Oh the Gamecocks? Coach (Lonnie Teasley), coach T is a good guy,” Seaton said. “We’ve been talking on and off now. I want to say Dante Reno, you know all the players that are committed there, they’ve kind of been reaching out trying to show love. So I’ve definitely got an ‘OV’ set there and see what they’ve got going on. I want to basically test the waters, just to see what it’s like down there. So they’ve definitely got an ‘OV’ out of me.”

Seaton also has an official visit to Oklahoma planned and has some things to work out before getting over to Knoxville to see Tennessee. He’s in no rush to make a decision, but a school that stands out above the rest could change that.

“Commitment timeline right now, I want to say I’ll be a later and later guy,” Seaton said. “Signing day type of guy. But if I do feel a school has pushed hard enough, I will make a decision earlier.”
