Elite 2026 QB Troy Huhn got his first look at Clemson this weekend

Mission Hills (Calif.) quarterback Troy Huhn made his way across the country to visit Clemson this weekend before competing at the Elite 11 Regional in Atlanta. The No. 123 prospect in the 2026 On3 Industry Ranking is one of the most coveted prospects at his position in his class.

He made stops at Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Texas earlier this spring and Clemson had him on campus Saturday.

“I had a great time today,” Huhn told On3. “Just driving into the city and seeing how beautiful this town is was amazing. My first impressions of Coach (Garrett) Riley were great. He is a very relatable person and a great coach. He is very knowledgeable and it was great spending the day with him.”

Huhn has a long, impressive list of offers. Clemson isn’t one on his list yet. Dabo Swinney hasn’t offered recruits in the 2026 class yet. The Tigers are still high on his list.

“Clemson is a school that is very strict with who they offer, so an offer from Clemson would be special. Knowing that they don’t offer a lot of people means they really see something in you.

“I can’t wait to continue building this relationship with Coach Riley and the staff. I felt like I got a good feel of what it would feel like as a player when walking through their facility and on campus. It was great being able to see everything from tours to sitting down with Coach Riley to watch some film.

“I really liked Clemson and they will be a school that I will continue to stay in touch with. Overall the visit was great I am so glad I was able to get out here and see everything.”

Spending time with Coach Riley and getting his first look at Clemson was another step in the recruiting process for Huhn. The No. 11 quarterback in the country is taking things at his own pace and he evaluates his options.

“I am still in the same spot as before,” Huhn added. “I am just taking the process one step at a time enjoying every second. Now I am starting to analyze every school and see what their pros and cons are, but at this point every school I have been in recent connection with I really like.”
