Electric 2025 RB Daniel Anderson ready for his game-day visit to Notre Dame

The connection between electric 2025 Arkansas-based running back Daniel Anderson and the Fighting Irish has been strong for several months.

Now, he is bracing for an important trip back up to Notre Dame for one of the biggest games of the early college football season.

The three-star running back’s relationship with the coaches up in South Bend has grown even more important ahead of this weekend for the much-hyped primetime showdown against Ohio State at home. Director of High School Scouting Dre Brown, Director of Recruiting Chad Bowden, RB coach Deland McCullough and also head coach Marcus Freeman have been mainstays in Anderson’s recruitment since extending an offer his way during the Irish Invasion Camp in July.

After camping at Notre Dame and earning the offer, Andeson and his family have circled on The Anderson’s calendar for weeks.

“It’ll be my first game (there). I can’t even describe the excitement level,” Anderson told On3. “I feel like this will be the ultimate game-day experience.”

Since extending an offer to the 5-foot-11, 190-pound three-down back from Bryant (Ark.) High School in Arkansas over the summer, the Fighting Irish have remained extremely persistent in their pursuit of Anderson.

Equally as important, the Notre Dame coaching staff has emphasized recruiting both the football and personal aspects so far. That has only strengthened the bond for Anderson as he and his family prepare for their next unofficial visit to campus in the past three months.

“They have been in communication on a consistent basis,” he explained. “They have made an effort to get to know my family. They encourage me to make my decisions based on more than just football, and it means everything. My parents are teachers, so they have always stressed the importance of getting a degree or two. They’ve taught me that a degree is like an investment myself.”

“First of all, the possible opportunity to study abroad is unmatched,” Anderson, the On3 Industry Ranking’s No. 38-ranked RB, continued. “It’s a constant reminder that life after football is a big focus. They also push for investing in something, whether it’s yourself academically or your future with job security, your financial investments.”

Anderson checks in as the No. 418 overall player in the country in the 2025 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 4-rated prospect from his home state of Arkansas.
