Dishon Jackson called for Flagrant 1 against Dylan Cardwell in Maui Invitational
Iowa State’s Dishon Jackson was called for a Flagrant 1 foul against Auburn’s Dylan Cardwell during the opening minutes of the second half on Monday night.
Cardwell was driving to the basket when Jackson appeared to make contact to Cardwell’s back, leading him to fall on the baseline. After review, the referees confirmed to call and awarded Auburn two free throws and the ball.
The play happened amid Auburn’s attempt to come back following an 18-point defecit in the first half against the Cyclones.
Cardwell missed both free throws, but was able to cash in on a Miles Kelly jump shot after they received the ball on the ensuing possesion. From there, the Tigers mounted a 13-0 run to cut the Iowa State lead to just three points before the first media timeout of the half.
