Detriot Lions suffer trio of injuries with Terrion Arnold, Jahmyr Gibbs, Ennis Rakestraw Jr
The Detroit Lions are gearing up for their second game of the 2024 preseason, which will be a trip to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday, August 17. But as they prepare for preseason game No. 2, they are currently dealing with a few injuries.
According to Colton Pouncey, the Lions beat reporter for The Athletic, Detroit is now dealing with injuries to three of its young, talented players: cornerbacks Terrion Arnold and Ennis Rakestraw and running back Jahmyr Gibbs.
At this juncture, the specifics surrounding each player’s injury are unclear. However, if head coach Dan Campbell and the Detroit training staff believe these injuries to be significant, Lions fans should anticipate their young crop of players possibly being held out of practice and a preseason game or two to ensure their health for the upcoming 2024-25 season as they look to defend their NFC North crown.
