Deion Sanders calls for players in transfer portal to identify which teams offer bag vs. blessing
With the 2024 campaign coming to a close, hundreds of football players are hitting the transfer portal looking to find a new home. On Monday, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders sent a message to any players hoping to join the Buffaloes.
“To many of the Portal Young Men that’s looking & searching for the right situation. You’re gonna get vetted thoroughly by us and then I pray u know the difference of being offered a bag & being offered a BLESSING,” Sanders wrote. “Ask Grandma-nem what I mean. #CoachPrime “I Ain’t Hard 2 Find.””
Sanders knows how to capitalize on the transfer portal better than most. After finishing his debut season at the helm of Colorado with a 4-8 record, he hit the portal hard this past offseason, ultimately bringing in 42 new players.
Sanders’ efforts paid off. Colorado flipped the script this year, finishing the season with an 8-4 record and competing until the end for a spot in the College Football Playoff. With stars Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter expected to move on after this season, there’s no doubt Deion Sanders will look to load up in the portal again this offseason.
