The Texas Longhorns have had Duncanville (Texas) star, On3’s No. 1-rated wide receiver Dakorien Moore at the top of its big recruiting board for almost two years for 2025. Today, on this country’s Independence Day, the five-star phenom is announcing his decision of where he’ll attend college for the next 3-4 years.

The measurables: 5-foot-11, 186 pounds
The date: Thursday, July 4th at 8:00 pm (Central)
The rating: 98.75 (Five-Star+)
The ranking: Moore is the No. 3 overall prospect in the 2025 class and the No. 1 prospect in Texas according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
The evaluation:
Dakorien Moore is very fast.
He recently ran a 10.63 as a sophomore in high school. He’s blazing fast and has been developing some skill as a receiver and not just a gadget player in recent seasons with Duncanville. At Texas he’d find a role similar to Xavier Worthy, ostensibly playing outside but often moving around so Steve Sarkisian could help him find space to take off down the field as a deep shot target. His overall game will need some development but he is certainly another in the mold of elite burners Sark is always looking to have on the 40 Acres to make big plays in the passing game. – Ian Boyd
