D’antre Robinson scheduled to be in Austin Saturday

Texas Longhorns four-star defensive line verbal D’antre Robinson is expected to be in Austin Saturday, Inside Texas has learned. 

The 6-foot-3, 303-pound Sunshine State defensive tackle raised a number of eyebrows last weekend in Austin when he made an unexpected visit to Florida Saturday for the Gators game against Charlotte. 

Should Robinson make the expected trip to Austin, this will be his second visit to Texas this season. He attended the Wyoming-Texas game September 16. 

Robinson committed to Texas over Florida July 20. Since that time, the childhood favorite Gators have never backed off the Orlando area upside tackle. 

The Gators have one true interior defensive line prospect committed, Nasir Johnson out of the Peach State. The recent de-commitment of 6-foot-5, 350-pound over the ball prospect Michai Boireau made the recruitment of Robinson even more important for the Gators.

Robinson’s recruitment included a number of June visits, both official and unofficial. He made official visits to Florida June 2-4 and Texas June 16-18. The Central Florida standout also made unofficial visits to Ohio State and Alabama. Alabama offered after an impressive camp workout.

The latest Jones High nationally recruited prospect is the No. 370 ranked prospect in the 2024 cycle. Robinson is also the No. 31 ranked defensive lineman, and No. 47 ranked prospect in the state of Florida.

Texas defensive line recruiting

The Longhorns have three defensive line commitments. The trio consists of On3 4-stars Robinson and Alex January, and upside 3-star Melvin Hills.

Texas defensive line coach Bo Davis offered 6-foot-3, 290-pound Auburn commitment Dimitry Nicolas Monday. The Longhorns plan to sign four defensive lineman in the 2024 class.
