Cook Out to sponsor NASCAR Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium

Cook Out to sponsor NASCAR Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium

The NASCAR Clash at Bowman Gray will be the Cook Out Clash. Just a month from now, the Cup Series hits the track in Winston-Salem. Cook Out has sponsored a number of NASCAR events in recent years.

Having an entitlement partner is a big deal for the NASCAR Clash. With the race taking place in Cook Out’s backyard more or less, the restaurant chain could not pass up this opportunity.

Cook Out is also going to sponsor the Madhouse Classic. That is a 125-lap modified feature that will race on Saturday, February 1. Then the Cup Series will race on Sunday.

I’ll say one thing, the logos look awesome.

“It is incredible to have Cook Out as part of this historic weekend at Bowman Gray Stadium,” said Ben Kennedy, NASCAR Executive Vice President, Chief Venue and Racing Innovation Officer. “Their support takes it to the next level, and we look forward to working with them to make it a weekend that fans will never forget.”

Cook Out is a local staple. Thankfully when I was in college, the chain had made it all the way down to Murray, Kentucky. Double chicken quesadilla box and a banana fudge shake…take me back.

Outside of the fast, easy, and usually late-night food, Cook Out has put their money where their mouth is when it comes to marketing. They sponsored races at Martinsville, Richmond, and the Southern 500 at Darlington last year.

NASCAR Clash gets boost from sponsor

If the hype wasn’t already there, the NASCAR Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium should be getting you eager for racing. Yes, we have the Tulsa Shootout going on right now. But watching heavy stock cars race around a quarter-mile Madhouse? You don’t see that every year.

This is the first time that NASCAR has raced the Cup Series at Bowman Gray since 1971. Fans are going to be loud and mean, and the drivers wouldn’t want it any other way. Chances we see a fist fight in the crowd or on the track are relatively high.

Cook Out is a great sponsor and has a lot of connections to the racing world. Jeremy Reaves, co-owner, will have his son Max in the ARCA Menards Series East this season. He will be in the No. 18 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing. Max was signed to a development deal at 14 years old in 2024.

The Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium. That has a nice ring to it. Fans are going to have a lot of fun at the race, watching on TV, and maybe we’ll get to see the action tip over into a fight or two.
