Commit watch: More fireworks for Kansas State?

Kansas State has struck four times in the class of 2025 in the month of July including On3 Industry Ranked five-star Linkon Cure. K-State has also landed 12 commitments in the 2025 class since June 9. KSO’s Drew Galloway takes a look at other possible commitments.

Kansas State defensive end target Kade Pietrzak

Honestly, I am shocked North Dakota defensive end Kade Pietrzak is not yet committed to a school. The longer his recruitment goes on, the better I feel about Kansas State’s chances. K-State was able to sway Pietrzak to take an official visit June 21-23. Remember, he was not originally going to make the trip to Manhattan and commit to Oklahoma instead. I believe the Sooners still lead, but the Wildcats are making up ground.

Offensive lineman target Nelson McGuire

Texas offensive lineman Nelson McGuire has a commitment date scheduled for July 31. After initially de-committing from Minnesota, Texas Tech was the first school associated with the offensive lineman. I believed Kansas State to be in the mix more than most thought. Remember, he visited Kansas State June 14-16 just days after committing to Minnesota.

However, momentum has swung again to the Red Raiders. I would be a bit surprised if Texas Tech was not the pick for the rising senior.

Safety target Noah King

A new name to keep in mind is safety Noah King. After originally scheduled to visit Nebraska and Kentucky in the month of June, King did not make either visit. However, King is planning on visiting Kansas State at the end of the month when the contact period opens back up. If the visit takes place, I like K-State’s chances to close up King’s recruitment. The Ohio native holds a strong relationship with the Wildcats’ defensive coordinator Joe Klanderman.
