Clay Grady injury update: Virgiina Tech 2B leaves game following scary collision
Virginia Tech second baseman Clay Grady has left Sunday afternoon’s contest against ECU after suffering an injury in the third inning. As Grady attempted to steal second base, he dove headfirst into the Pirates defender while trying to safely tag the bag.
Grady’s head ran right into the shins of the ECU second baseman and he remained on the ground for several moments. A stretcher was inititally brought out to help him off the field, but he was thanfully able to get up and walk off under his own power. You can view the collision below.
