Kentucky’s gold medal matchup has been set. The undefeated Wildcats will face Team Canada a second time for the title of the 2023 GLOBL Jam Tournament.

Canada defeated Team Germany on Saturday night in overtime, 84-81 to advance to the final game. The Canadians trailed by 14 with roughly five minutes in regulation and were down by six with two minutes to go before forcing overtime down the stretch and ultimately stealing the win. Team Canada has already played Kentucky once, a 93-69 loss on Thursday in the Wildcats’ second game of the event.

After taking down Team Africa 104-92 on Saturday afternoon, Kentucky improved its flawless record to 3-0. They had already locked up the gold medal opportunity following Thursday’s win but closed out pool play with an impressive victory in the closing minutes against Team Africa. Now, they’ll take on Canada one more time with the championship on the line.
