Brad Keselowski calls out NASCAR team owners after Xfinity Series controversy at Martinsville

Following the poor racing in the Truck Series, but especially the Xfinity Series this weekend, Brad Keselowski is calling out NASCAR team owners. There is clearly something wrong with the development series.
Take away the final lap, overtime bomb that Sammy Smith threw in Turn 3 to take out Taylor Gray. Even without that incident, this race was sloppy. It was getting criticism from fans, drivers, and others in the industry before that last restart.
What happened in the Truck Series on Friday you can almost excuse. That series has been on very good behavior since Daytona 2024 and that horrendous Phoenix championship race in 2023. But the Xfinity Series was inexcusable.
Again, it isn’t just about Sammy Smith. Brad Keselowski isn’t calling out one driver. Sam, Austin Hill, Connor Zilisch, and others had either blatantly bad moves or at least questionable decisions.
“I’ve been really quiet on this over the last few days but it’s clear this is important to fix and also clear that it’s bigger than 1 [one] race weekend,” Keselowski posted on X/Twitter.
“My 2 [two] centers – The solution needs to come from the car owners not NASCAR. Until the car owners are willing to park their drivers for getting this out of control, very little will change.
“I get that they are all scared to park a funded driver out of fear they will lose the money to continue [their] operations. However, at some point, that’s the risk you have to take to get this right. I believe if all of the teams do it together, it would work.”
This is a developing story…
