Biggest winners from jam-packed Buckeyes Pro Day
COLUMBUS — Ohio State packed the Woody Hayes Athletic Center on Wednesday for its annual Pro Day.
The Buckeyes loaded up their practice facility with more than 100 NFL personnel, including general managers, head coaches, coordinators and even one team owner. It was truly a banner day for the Ohio State football program, especially as the Buckeyes top draft prospects dazzled throughout the afternoon.
Lettermen Row is looking at the stats after watching the performances Wednesday. Now we’re ready to break down the biggest winners from the Buckeyes jam-packed Pro Day. Let’s dive in.
QB C.J. Stroud
Let’s start with the obvious answer — and the main attraction at Ohio State Pro Day on Wednesday. C.J. Stroud was certainly a big winner, showcasing his arm talent and accuracy in front of more than 100 NFL scouts and personnel. Numerous quarterback-needy teams had multiple top executives on-hand to watch as Stroud surgically went through his throwing session, including nearly every top member of the Carolina Panthers organization. The Panthers have the No. 1 overall pick, and even owner David Tepper was in attendance, dining with Stroud on Tuesday night before Pro Day on Wednesday.
There’s still a long way to go in the draft process. Tepper and the Panthers will get to see all four top quarterbacks for their respective Pro Day workouts in the coming days. But Stroud set the bar high — and he might have become the No. 1 overall pick with his incredible workout.
DB Tanner McCalister
Tanner McCalister felt he deserved to be invited to the NFL Scouting Combine earlier this month. Scouts agreed. And he certainly looked like somebody who should have been invited to the combine on Wednesday with his impressive Pro Day performance.

His numbers speak for themselves; he is a great athlete who turned heads Wednesday and gave himself a chance to be drafted, especially considering this workout was in front of more than 100 pro scouts and decision-makers.
WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba
Jaxon Smith-Njigba made the most of his Pro Day, cementing himself as the unquestionable top wide receiver in the upcoming NFL Draft when he took the field and dazzled at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. Smith-Njigba expected to run a fast 40-yard dash time, and he did just that, posting a time of 4.48 seconds and proving that he has NFL-level speed. He also was able to catch passes from Stroud for the final time before they both enter the NFL. Smith-Njigba flashed his route-running and silky receiving style while going through on-field drills. He made sure to show that his hamstring issues are behind him. He helped himself tremendously Wednesday. And he’s the top receiver available in the upcoming draft.

LS Bradley Robinson
With all NFL eyes on Ohio State football this week, former Buckeyes long snapper Bradley Robinson took that as an opportunity to showcase what he can do at the NFL level. Robinson injured his knee in October and missed the back half of the Ohio State season, a gut punch for a veteran who has NFL dreams. He went through snapping drills, and plenty of scouts were watching to see if he can do it beyond college football. Robinson had a chance to prove himself. He did it Wednesday.
