Bears DB Tyrique Stevenson apologizes for taunting Commanders fans before Hail Mary
Bears corner Tyrique Stevenson had a brutal day on Sunday. But part of it was his own doing. In the final seconds of the game, he was seen talking trash with Commanders fans, right before Jayden Daniels was about to launch the Hail Mary in the final seconds. He recovered just in time to get to the crowd of bodies, tipped the pass right back to Noah Brown, which ended up being the game-winner.
After the game it didn’t take long for Stevenson to pen an apology on his Twitter account.
“To Chicago and teammates my apologies for lack of awareness and focus…The game ain’t over until zeros hit the clock. Can’t take anything for granted. Notes taken, improvement will happen,” Stevenson tweeted on Sunday evening.
