The contract extension comes as Hill enjoys an absolutely dominant year on the track. The 29-year-old owns four wins this season and sits atop the Xfinity Series points standings. In the 22 races he’s ran, he has finished inside the top-10 an impressive 17 times.

“I’ve found a home at Richard Childress Racing and it’s an honor to be able to continue my career racing for one of the most successful organizations in the garage,” said Hill. “In looking at the next step of my career, I was presented with several opportunities, but it all came down to being surrounded by racers who want to win, believe in me, and will do their best to give me every opportunity to be successful. I want to thank Richard Childress and everyone at RCR and ECR Engines. I’m excited to race for wins and championships within the NASCAR Xfinity Series for years to come.”

Hill will continue to run in NASCAR’s Xfinity Series in 2024.

“Austin Hill has set a benchmark for competitiveness within the garage and has proven to be a talented racer who wants to win,” said Richard Childress, chairman and CEO of Richard Childress Racing. “We’re pleased that Austin has found success at RCR and are looking forward to competing for a championship in 2023, 2024, and beyond.”

Hill has enjoyed an impressive run the last two seasons in the Xfinity Series. Last year, he was named the Series’ Rookie of the Year. This season, he hopes to claim a championship.

Austin Hill’s four wins in 2023

Getting to Victory Lane just once in a season can be a complicated task. Hill has dominated his competition, though, taking home four checkered flags on the Xfinity Series this year.

Hill started off the year incredibly fast — literally and figuratively. He won three of the first five races of the 2023 campaign, getting victories at Daytona, Las Vegas and Atlanta.

A little time passed between victories after the win in Atlanta, but he finally returned to the Winner’s Circle during NASCAR’s trip to Pocono. And while it’s already been a successful season, you have to imagine, Hill is hungry for more wins.

Oh, and that Xfinity Series championship.
