Auburn Transfer Portal Target Tracker: Defense

The NCAA transfer portal spring window opened on April 16 allowing FBS college football players to officially enter their names into the portal. Players have 15 days to enter their names into the portal, which closes on April 30.

Auburn added nine transfers during the winter window, including five on defense: safeties Jerrin Thompson (Texas) and Antonio Kite (Alabama), defensive linemen Gage Keys (Kansas) and Trill Carter (Texas) and linebacker Dorian Mausi (Duke). The Tigers will look to add more in the spring window.

We will list each position, the number of portal additions we believe Auburn will add at the position and whether the target is trending up, down or neutral.

Auburn on Sunday added a commitment from Blidi and less than 24 hours later added Raikes. The Tigers could be done here. However, they are at least entertaining the idea of adding another. There has been communication between Auburn and Lane. According to Lane, a visit could be in the works. He’s at least someone worth tracking.

With Tyler Scott and Colton Hood in the portal, Auburn likely will look to add at least two transfer defensive backs and already has reached out to Fegans, the older brother of 2025 top safety target Anquon Fegans. There are other names the Tigers are tracking and could be added soon.
