Auburn Football Recruiting Hot Board: Offense

Auburn has 16 commitments in its 2024 recruiting class with six projected to play on offense.
There’s still plenty of work to be done before the early signing period begins in December. There’s also plenty of time.

What is left for Auburn on offense in the 2024 class? Who are the top recruits at each position and what are Auburn’s chances with each?
The Hot Board has the answers.
Below are the recruits I believe are the top targets at each position and my guesses at Auburn’s chances of signing them. Keep in mind, the percentages are Auburn’s chances against the field.
Quarterback (1)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentWalker White (4)Little Rock, Ark.–AUAU
Auburn wanted one quarterback in its class and already has committed its top target at the position. White is the No. 9 QB in the country, per the On3 Industry Ranking, and the No. 2 recruit in Arkansas. He committed to Auburn over Clemson.
Running backs (2)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentJ’Marion Burnett (4)Andalusia, Ala.–AUAUDuke Watson (4)Forsyth, Ga.–40%UL/40%Brandon Hood (3)McDonough, Ga.––20%Kevin Riley (4)Northport, Ala.–10%Miami/10%
Auburn has a commitment from Burnett and is looking for one more running back in the class. However, the Tigers don’t appear in a rush to add a second back. Hood is a new name to the board. The brother of Colton (Auburn freshman DB) and son of Roderick (former Auburn DB) could be someone the Tigers circle back to should he have a productive senior season.
Wide receivers (4-5)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentBryce Cain (4)Mobile, Ala.–AUAUPerry Thompson (5)Foley, Ala.6/16AUAUMalcolm Simmons (4)Alexander City, Ala.–AUAUNy Carr (4)Moultrie, Ga.–35%UGA/35%Cam Coleman (5)Phenix City, Ala.6/1210%15%Mario Craver (4)Pinson, Ala.–15%15%
Auburn has commitments from three wide receivers, but doesn’t appear to be done. The Tigers continue to recruit others, most notably Carr and Coleman. Carr remains committed to in-state Georgia while Coleman is committed to out-of-state A&M. Auburn would like to get both back on campus this fall for another visit and it’s more likely to happen than not.
Tight ends (2)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentMartavious Collins (3)Calhoun, Ga.–AUAULanden Thomas (5)Moultrie, Ga.–15%FSU/15%Amir Jackson (4)Portal, Ga.9/2915%UF/15%Roger Saleapaga (4)Orem, Utah–10%10%
Auburn continues to look for a second tight end to pair with Collins, but it’s been tough as many of the top targets have come off the board/committed to other schools. Auburn continues to heavily recruit Thomas and Jackson and expects to get both back on campus at least once more.
Offensive line (4-5)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentDeAndre Carter (4)Santa Ana, Calif.6/1665%75%Reese Baker (3)Huntsville, Ala.–55%55%TJ Lockhart (3)Winona, Miss.–40%MSU/40%Kahlil House (3)Warner Robins, Ga.6/1625%SU/25%Coen Echols (4)Katy, Texas6/920%A&M/20%Jude Foster (3)Baton Rouge, La.–20%OM/20%Navarro Schunke (3)Brandon, S.D.–20%20%Favour Edwin (3)McDonough, Ga.––20%
Auburn remains in good shape to get a commitment from Carter, who has set his commitment date for Sept. 3. As for Baker, Auburn still appears to be the team to beat, but isn’t pushing hard for a commitment. Lockhart is committed to Mississippi State, but visited Auburn for Big Cat. The Tigers have offered Foster, who is committed to Ole Miss, and Schunke, a big lineman from South Dakota. House and Echols both took official visits to Auburn in June, but committed elsewhere. The Tigers, however, continue to recruit them and are working to get them back on campus in the fall. Edwin is a new name to track. Auburn offered him earlier in the week. Alabama is the presumed favorite, but Auburn is working to get him in for a visit.
