Auburn Football Recruiting Hot Board: Offense

Auburn has eight commitments in its 2024 recruiting class with four projected to play on offense.
There’s still plenty of work to be done before the early signing period begins in December. There’s also plenty of time.

What is left for Auburn on offense in the 2024 class? Who are the top recruits at each position and what are Auburn’s chances with each?
The Hot Board has the answers.
Below are the recruits I believe are the top targets at each position and my guesses at Auburn’s chances of signing them. Keep in mind, the percentages are Auburn’s chances against the field.
Quarterback (1)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentWalker White (4)Little Rock, Ark.–AUAU
Auburn wanted one quarterback in its class and already has committed its top target at the position. White is a top-100 overall recruit (96) and the No. 1 recruit in Arkansas. He committed to Auburn over Clemson.
Running backs (2)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentJ’Marion Burnett (4)Andalusia, Ala.–AUAUDaniel Hill (4)Meridian, Miss.6/935%25%Kevin Riley (4)Northport, Ala.–10%10%/Miami
Auburn has a commitment from Burnett, but is still looking for a second back. Riley committed to Miami and Auburn has work to do on Hill even though he visited two weeks ago. More names could emerge here soon.
Wide receivers (3)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentBryce Cain (3)Mobile, Ala.–AUAUCam Coleman (5)Phenix City, Ala.6/1255%55%Perry Thompson (4)Foley, Ala.6/1645%Bama/45%Malcolm Simmons (4)Alexander City, Ala.–35%35%Mario Craver (4)Pinson, Ala.–20%20%
Auburn has a commitment from Cain and is looking to add two more. The top targets have been and continue to be Coleman and Thompson. I still like Auburn’s chances with Coleman and the next few weeks will be very telling with Thompson. I would not be surprised to see Thompson flip. There is plenty of noise there. However, I think it best to take a wait-and-see approach with him and any other Alabama commitment.
Tight ends (2)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentMartavious Collins (3)Calhoun, Ga.–AUAUCaleb Odom (4)Carrollton, Ga.6/1235%35%Amir Jackson (4)Portal, Ga.9/2920%UF/20%Gavin Hoffman (3)Overland Park, Kan.–15%15%Roger Saleapaga (4)Orem, Utah–15%15%Carter Nelson (4)Ainsworth, Neb.–15%15%
Auburn has a commitment from Collins, a more traditional-type tight end. The Tigers now are looking for someone to pair with him, a guy who can stretch the field vertically. Odom and Jackson are the top two targets, but Auburn isn’t considered a serious threat for either at this time. Auburn just offered Hoffman and Auburn is trying to get him on campus, same for Saleapaga and Nelson.
Interior offensive line (2-3)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentJameson Riggs (3)Hiram, Ga.6/1650%50%Casey Poe (4)Lindale, Texas6/1640%40%Preston Taumua (4)Aiea, Hawaii6/1640%40%
Riggs could have a decision soon and it appears to be between Auburn and Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets, the local favorite, and new coach Brent Key could be tough to beat here. I think it’s a toss-up at-best right now for Auburn.
Offensive tackles (3-4)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentReese Baker (3)Huntsville, Ala.–60%60%DeAndre Carter (4)Santa Ana, Calif.6/1640%35%Daniel Calhoun (4)Roswell, Ga.6/1235%35%Chase Malamala (3)N Palm Beach, Fla.–25%25%Kahlil House (3)Warner Robins, Ga.6/1680%15%Fletcher Westphal (4)Leesburg, Va.–10%10%
Auburn seems set to take a huge hit here. House visited in the middle of the month and appeared ready to announce a commitment to the Tigers, but an official visit to Stanford likely changed things and not for the good. I now have him predicted to The Cardinal.
