Auburn Football Recruiting Hot Board: Offense

Auburn has 22 commitments in its 2025 recruiting class with nine projected to play on offense. Needless to say, there is still work to be done before the early signing period begins in December.
What is left for Auburn on offense in the 2024 class? Who are the top recruits at each position and what are Auburn’s chances with each?
The Hot Board has the answers.
Below are the recruits I believe are the top targets at each position and my guesses at Auburn’s chances of signing them. Keep in mind, the percentages are Auburn’s chances against the field.

On3 Team Recruiting Ranking
Quarterbacks (1)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentDeuce Knight (4)Lucedale, Miss.–ND/65%ND/65%K.J. Lacey (4)Saraland, Ala.–TX/15%TX/15%Julian Lewis (5)Carrollton, Ga.6/14USC/15%USC/15%
Auburn continues to be in a good spot to flip Knight from Notre Dame and certainly hopes to get it done sooner than later. I think the Tigers will see what happens with him before moving on to anyone else, including Lacey or even back to Lewis.
Running backs (2-3)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentAlvin Henderson (4)Elba, Ala.9/27AUAUOusmane Kromah (4)Leesburg, Ga.5/1745%45%Anthony Rogers (4)Montgomery, Ala.–ALA/30%ALA/30%Daune Morris (3)Murfreesboro, Tenn.6/14USC/40%USC/30%Shekai Mills-Knight (3)Chattanooga, Tenn.6/1035%15%
Auburn and Florida State seem to be battling for Kromah with the Seminoles likely having a slight edge. I do think Kromah postponing his commitment until the fall is a good sign for Auburn. The Tigers likely will wait to see what happens with him before moving on to anyone else, including Rogers.
Wide receivers (3-4)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentDerick Smith (4)Selma, Ala.6/7AUAUSam Turner (3)Atlanta, Ga.–GT/65%GT/65%Erick Smith (NR)Selma, Ala.6/750%50%Caleb Cunningham (5)Ackerman, Miss.5/3125%25%Tristan Norman (3)Montgomery, Ala.–A&M/10%A&M/10%Jerome Myles (4)West Jordan, Utah–10%10%
Auburn still seems to be in a good spot to flip Turner from Georgia Tech, but it might not happen as soon as the Tigers would like. Turner could wait until after the first of the season to make a final decision. Erick Smith, twin brother to Derick Smith, is another to keep an eye on. And, of course, Cunningham will always have a spot in the class.
Tight ends (3)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentRyan Ghea (3)Milton, Ga.6/14AUAUHollis Davidson (3)Peachtree City, Ga.6/14AUAU
Auburn has Davidson and Ghea committed and will look to add a third tight end to the class via the transfer portal.
Offensive line (5-7)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentBroderick Shull (4)Bixby, Okla.5/31AUAUTavaris Dice (4)Fairburn, Ga.6/7AUAUTai Buster (3)Kannapolis, N.C.5/31AUAUSpencer Dowland (3)Athens, Ala.–AUAUJacobe Ward (3)Savannah, Ga.6/7AUAUAndrew Babalola (5)Overland Park, Kan.5/1745%45%Malachi Goodman (4)Paramus, N.J.5/1745%45%
Auburn has five committed and continues to push hard for both Babalola and Goodman. Babalola could have a decision soon and the Tigers might be more of a factor in his recruitment than most think, according to Auburn Live’s Cole Pinkston. Same for Goodman. I’ll defer to Cole here.
Punter (1)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentJohn Alan McGuireAlabaster, Ala.–AUAU
Auburn wanted to add a punter in this class and has done so with one of the best. McGuire is ranked by Kohl’s Kicking as a five-star punter and the No. 2 punter in the country.
