Auburn Football Recruiting Hot Board: Offense
Auburn has 16 commitments in its 2025 recruiting class with eight projected to play on offense. Needless to say, there is still plenty of work to be done before the early signing period begins in December.
What is left for Auburn on offense in the 2024 class? Who are the top recruits at each position and what are Auburn’s chances with each?
The Hot Board has the answers.
Below are the recruits I believe are the top targets at each position and my guesses at Auburn’s chances of signing them. Keep in mind, the percentages are Auburn’s chances against the field.

On3 Team Recruiting Ranking
Quarterbacks (1)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentK.J. Lacey (4)Saraland, Ala.–TX/35%TX/45%Julian Lewis (5)Carrollton, Ga.6/14USC/50%USC/40%Deuce Knight (4)Lucedale, Miss.––ND/25%
The past few days have not been positive for Auburn in its recruitment of Lewis with NIL negotiations being the main factor, from what I’m told. That could change, but for now I think Auburn will turn up the heat more on Lacey and Knight. I think, at this time, Auburn has a better shot at landing Lacey than Lewis.
Running backs (2-3)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentAlvin Henderson (4)Elba, Ala.9/27AUAUOusmane Kromah (4)Leesburg, Ga.5/1750%50%Daune Morris (3)Murfreesboro, Tenn.6/14USC/50%USC/50%Shekai Mills-Knight (3)Chattanooga, Tenn.6/1045%45%Anthony Rogers (4)Montgomery, Ala.–ALA/15%ALA/15%
Not much has changed here. Auburn would like to take either Kromah or Mills-Knight to pair with Henderson, but would not turn down Morris. Auburn, Georgia and FSU appear to be leading the way for Kromah. Ole Miss and Auburn for Mills-Knight.
Wide receivers (2-3)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentCaleb Cunningham (5)Ackerman, Miss.5/3145%40%Derick Smith (4)Selma, Ala.6/7ALA/40%ALA/40%Sam Turner (3)Atlanta, Ga.–GT/20%GT/25%Tristan Norman (3)Montgomery, Ala.–A&M/10%A&M/15%Travis Smith (4)Atlanta, Ga.6/725%10%Jerome Myles (4)West Jordan, Utah–20%10%Malik Clark (4)Rock Hill, SC–20%10%Dallas Wilson (5)Tampa, Fla.–ORE/10%ORE/10%
Auburn is being patient and selective here. The Tigers likely will wait to see how the season unfolds, as well as QB recruiting, before taking any non-tier-1 guys. I think Cunningham, Derick Smith and Travis Smith are all tier-1 guys (as is CJ Wiley). Derick Smith is committed to Alabama. Cunningham also has the Tide on top and Travis Smith is expected to commit to Tennessee soon. However, Auburn remains in the thick of it for each. I think Turner is quickly moving up the board and could be in the discussion soon for being a tier-1 guy. Keep an eye on him.
Tight ends (2-3)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentRyan Ghea (3)Milton, Ga.6/14AUAUHollis Davidson (3)Peachtree City, Ga.6/1460%AUEmaree Winston (4)Calhoun, Ga.5/31TEX/50%TEX/45%Kaleb Edwards (4)El Dorado Hills, Calif.6/105%ALA/5%AJ Ia (4)Orange, Calif.9/27ASU/5%ASU/5%
Auburn got Davidson re-committed and could look to add a third tight end in the class. The Tigers are in a good spot for Winston, but will they take a third high school guy? I think it’s more likely they look to the portal in an effort to spread out the TE room.
Offensive line (6-7)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentBroderick Shull (4)Bixby, Okla.5/31AUAUTavaris Dice (4)Fairburn, Ga.6/7AUAUTai Buster (3)Kannapolis, N.C.5/31AUAUSpencer Dowland (3)Athens, Ala.–AUAUJacobe Ward (3)Savannah, Ga.6/780%AUAndrew Babalola (5)Overland Park, Kan.5/1740%40%Malachi Goodman (4)Paramus, N.J.5/1735%35%Carde Smith (4)Mobile, Ala.6/1420%20%
Auburn added Ward to its class and continues to be a factor for both Babalola and Goodman. How much of one, however, remains to be seen.
