Auburn Football Recruiting Hot Board: Offense

Auburn Football Recruiting Hot Board: Offense

Auburn has 14 commitments in its 2025 recruiting class with six projected to play on offense. Needless to say, there is still plenty of work to be done before the early signing period begins in December.

What is left for Auburn on offense in the 2024 class? Who are the top recruits at each position and what are Auburn’s chances with each?

The Hot Board has the answers.

Below are the recruits I believe are the top targets at each position and my guesses at Auburn’s chances of signing them. Keep in mind, the percentages are Auburn’s chances against the field.

Quarterbacks (1)

Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentJulian Lewis (5)Carrollton, Ga.6/14USC/50%USC/50%K.J. Lacey (4)Saraland, Ala.–TX/35%TX/35%

This is a big weekend for Auburn as Lewis comes back for his official visit. The Tigers will have him on campus one week after his USC visit and a week before his Colorado visit. There still is some quiet confidence around Auburn. We’ll see where things stand after this weekend. And don’t forget about Lacey. Auburn remains a factor in his recruitment as well.

Running backs (2-3)

Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentAlvin Henderson (4)Elba, Ala.–PSU/55%PSU/55%Ousmane Kromah (4)Leesburg, Ga.5/1740%55%Shekai Mills-Knight (3)Chattanooga, Tenn.6/1035%45%Daune Morris (3)Murfreesboro, Tenn.6/14USC/35%USC/40%Anthony Rogers (4)Montgomery, Ala.–ALA/20%ALA/15%Tray Kinkle (3)Holly Springs, Miss.–35%10%Jasper Parker (3)Marrero, La.–10%10%Akylin Dear (5)Quitman, Miss.–OM/20%OM/10%

Auburn continues to be in a good spot for Henderson despite his commitment to Penn State. The Tigers also have the “most buzz” for Kromah, according to On3’s Chad Simmons, and made a move for Mills-Knight earlier this week. Morris will be on campus Friday for his official visit. Wide receivers (2-3)

Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentCaleb Cunningham (5)Ackerman, Miss.5/3155%55%Derick Smith (4)Selma, Ala.6/7ALA/40%ALA/40%Travis Smith (4)Atlanta, Ga.6/735%35%CJ Wiley (4)Milton, Ga.4/625%25%Malik Clark (4)Rock Hill, SC–20%20%Tristan Norman (3)Montgomery, Ala.–20%20%Kamare Williams (3)Boynton Beach, Fla.–10%10%Daylyn Upshaw (3)Phenix City, Ala.–10%10%Dallas Wilson (5)Tampa, Fla.–ORE/10%ORE/10%

Auburn took the lead for Cunningham during his official visit and continues to hold on to the top spot. He is expected to be back for Big Cat on July 27. The Tigers also made up ground with both Travis Smith and Derick Smith.

Tight ends (2-3)

Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentRyan Ghea (3)Milton, Ga.6/14AUAUEmaree Winston (4)Calhoun, Ga.5/31TEX/40%TEX/45%Hollis Davidson (3)Peachtree City, Ga.6/1425%40%Kaleb Edwards (4)El Dorado Hills, Calif.6/1025%35%Kiotti Armstrong (4)Jasper, Texas9/2025%25%AJ Ia (4)Orange, Calif.9/27ASU/5%ASU/5%

Auburn has a commitment from Ghea and is looking for at least one more, possibly two. Winston remains committed to Texas, but Auburn is pushing hard. Edwards was on campus earlier this week and the Tigers continue to be a factor for him. Davidson will be the one to watch this weekend. He was on campus for the passing camp and was a late addition to this weekend’s list. Ghea is a big factor with Davidson and they’ll be together in Auburn for their official visits.

Offensive line (6-7)

Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentBroderick Shull (4)Bixby, Okla.5/31AUAUTavaris Dice (4)Fairburn, Ga.6/7AUAUCarde Smith (4)Mobile, Ala.6/14AUAUTai Buster (3)Kannapolis, N.C.5/31AUAUSpencer Dowland (3)Athens, Ala.–AUAUJacobe Ward (3)Savannah, Ga.6/775%75%Andrew Babalola (5)Overland Park, Kan.5/1745%45%Malachi Goodman (4)Paramus, N.J.5/1735%35%

Auburn added Shull last week and made another move for Ward during his official visit. The Tigers have been and continue to be a factor for both Babalola and Goodman.
