Auburn Football Recruiting Hot Board: Defense

Auburn has 18 commitments in its 2024 recruiting class with 11 projected to play on defense.
There’s still some work to be done before the early signing period begins in December. There’s also plenty of time.

What is left for Auburn on defense in the 2024 class? Who are the top recruits at each position and what are Auburn’s chances with each?
The Hot Board has the answers.
Below are the recruits I believe are the top targets at each position and my guesses at Auburn’s chances of signing them. Keep in mind, the percentages are Auburn’s chances against the field.
Defensive line (4-5)

Auburn has three commitments along the defensive line, but continues to pursue others. Beaman, Franklin and McCray appear to be the top remaining targets. Beaman already has locked in an official visit for the Georgia game (Sept. 30). Brown is new to the board. He’s an in-state kid committed to Missouri, but visited on Saturday. He and Taylor, the JUCO DT from Texas, could be ones to track should Auburn offer.
Linebackers (4)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentDemarcus Riddick (5)Clanton, Ala.6/9AUAUJoseph Phillips (4)Tuskegee, Ala.9/29AUAUD’Angelo Barber (3)Pinson, Ala.9/29AUAUBradley Shaw (4)Hoover, Ala.–45%45%Fred Clark (3)Winona, Miss.–MSU/30%MSU/35%Kameryn Fountain (4)Atlanta, Ga.–USC/15%USC/25%Jamonta Waller (4)Picayune, Miss.–UF/20%UF/20%
Auburn offered Clark earlier this week and could be a threat to Mississippi State should it push hard. Whether or not that happens remains to be seen. Waller likely is the top target and getting him back on campus will be vital to Auburn’s efforts in flipping him from Florida. Fountain is new to the board. He’s committed to USC, visited Auburn on Saturday and already plans to return for an official visit.
Cornerbacks (3)

With three of Auburn’s top targets committed, the Tigers could be done here. White, however, is one to track should Auburn decide to add another.
Safeties/nickels (3-4)
Name (star rating)HometownOVPreviousCurrentA’Mon Lane (4)Moody, Ala.11/24AUAUKensley Faustin (4)Naples, Fla.6/9AUAULaquan Robinson (3)Greenville, Ala. (Holmes CC)9/2950%55%KJ Bolden (5)Buford, Ga.9/29FSU/5%FSU/15%Zaquan Patterson (4)Hollywood, Fla.–UM/10%UM/10%
Robinson is a junior college safety from Greenville, Ala. He has Auburn in his top five and has locked in an official visit the weekend of the UGA game. He certainly is one to track closely now that’s he scheduled a visit. I think Auburn could be tough to beat.
