Arkansas achieved bowl eligibility on Saturday with a 35-14 victory against Louisiana Tech. It marked the fourth time in five seasons they’ve made a bowl game under coach Sam Pittman, who earned a $100,000 bonus as a result.
The Razorbacks got a big performance out of quarterback Taylen Green, who threw scored four total touchdowns in the win. He finished 20-of-37 passing for 221 yards and also rushed for another 61.
Missouri took care of business against Mississippi State in Week 13 to win 39-20 and improve to 8-3 (4-3 SEC) on the season. It marks the second straight season that the Tigers have reached at least eight wins under coach Eli Drinkwitz.
Quarterback Brady Cook and receiver Luther Burden have to be licking their chops at the chance to face a Razorbacks secondary that ranks 118th in the country in passing yards allowed per game. They connected seven times for 91 yards and a touchdown this past week against the Bulldogs.
Missouri holds an 11-4 all-time advantage in the series against Arkansas, including 3-1 under Drinkwitz. They won last year’s game by a score of 48-14 in Fayetteville.
