April 11 Visitor List: Nine scholarship prospects expected to attend Tuesday practice

Penn State took some time off from recruiting Saturday evening and into Sunday to spend time with their family over the Easter holiday. Now, with the Blue-White Game just days away though, James Franklin and his staff are pushing through the final stretches of what’s been a very busy four weeks on the recruiting trail.

After hosting just one player yesterday in Cheshire Academy LB Elijah Newby, Penn State will practice for the first time since Friday later this afternoon. As we’ve seen for the previous 11 practices, there will be plenty of recruits on campus.

In addition to future Penn State cornerback Kenny Woseley, the Nittany Lions will host a handful of talented players from Imhotep Charter in Philadelphia. That list includes top 100 edge rusher Zahir Mathis, as well as 2024 offensive lineman Zafir Stewart.

Penn State will also host a rising athlete from California in Mater Dei’s Isaiah Buxton. The 6-foot, 165-pound athlete is listed as a cornerback by On3, but Penn State likes his potential best as a wide receiver. The Nittany Lions have already offered, joining Arizona, BYU, Cal, Colorado, Syracuse and Washington, among others.

Local defensive tackle Deyvid Palepale is also expected to return. Since January, the Hempfield prospect has seen his scholarship count double, adding elite schools like Auburn, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Tennessee.
