Angel Reese passes Candace Parker for most-consecutive double-doubles in WNBA history
Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese recorded the second double-double of her WNBA on June 4 in a WNBA Commissioner’s Cup matchup against the New York Liberty with 13 points and 10 rebounds. And ever since that day, Reese has started a streak that now sits atop the WNBA record books.
In the third quarter of Chicago’s Sunday matchup against the Seattle Storm, Reese cleaned up a missed layup by teammate Kamilla Cardoso with an offensive rebound and put-back layup to record her 11th point and 11th rebound of the game. Which officially made her the WNBA’s record holder for consecutive double-doubles with 13 on the season in her rookie year.
