Amare Adams continues growing bonds with Gamecocks staff

One of the state of South Carolina’s top 2025 prospects – one who has been very high on the Gamecocks – was in town once again over the weekend.

Lake City defensive lineman Amare Adams made the short trip to Columbia on Friday to spend more time with the South Carolina coaching staff and players.

“It went good,” Adams told GamecockCentral.com. “They were just showing me around and introducing me to their players.”

The 6-foot-6, 250-pounder carries scholarship offers from Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech.

Numerous coaches from the Gamecocks staff have been involved in Adams’ recruitment, with potential future defensive line coach Jimmy Lindsey taking the lead.

Said Adams: “I have a great relationship with all of them, actually.”

While the weekend trip represented another opportunity for the Palmetto State native to become more comfortable with the program, he’s already plenty familiar with what Shane Beamer’s program has to offer.

He’s been inside Williams-Brice Stadium on multiple occasions. That’s what stands out to him about USC above all else.

“What I like the most about South Carolina is the game day atmosphere on every Saturday,” Adams explained.

Adams noted that he wants to narrow down his choices and make a commitment by the end of his junior season.

The South Carolina Gamecocks currently lead the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) for Adams’ services.

USC holds a 75 percent chance to land Adams according to the algorithm. On3’s RPM factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends, with expert predictions a significant part of the equation.

Adams listed several standouts so far during his conversation with GamecockCentral.com:

“South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, and Tennessee,” he said.
