Charles Lester visited Alabama less than two weeks ago. He scheduled an official visit on June 2-4. He is also slated to visit Ohio State, Georgia and Florida State in June. Florida State is the current favorite. Alabama will need to decide if it will make a big push for the five-star DB. The interest has increased with Lester set for return to kick off the summer. It’s starting to look like June 9-11 is one of the bigger recruiting weekends of the summer in Tuscaloosa. Alabama will have two of its top tight end targets in town. Jaden Reddell, the No. 1 tight end in the country, will return for an official visit. Colton Heinrich is also on the visitors list. Heinrich, who attended the A-Day game, is on the Tide’s short list at the position (along with Reddell).
Jameer Grimlsey is scheduled to return to Alabama on June 16-18 for his official visit. He will also visit Michigan and Penn State in June. It will mark Grimsley’s third visit to the Capstone. He is drawing comparisons from the staff to former Tide star Pat Surtain II. Alabama considers Grimsley one of its top overall DB targets, and hopes it can land his signature. Jeremiah Beaman informed BamaInsider that he will return for an official visit during the third week of June (16-18). The in-state lineman announced a top 10 earlier this month, but has not revealed any other official visit dates to this point. Beaman attended the Tide’s spring game, and is a priority target for Nick Saban. A decision date remains unknown- Alabama, however, appears in great position.

Four-star WR Aeryn Hampton (Sam Spiegelman)
Jordan Ross, Top 100 EDGE, Vestavia Hills HS in AlabamaAeryn Hampton, four-star wide receiver, Carthage HS in TexasDaniel Calhoun, four-star offensive lineman, Walton HS in Roswell, GeorgiaDavon Mitchell, 2025 four-star tight end from Los Alamitos HS in California
Jordan Ross, fresh off an A-Day visit in Tuscaloosa, announced his top eight. The top contenders include: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Oregon, USC, Tennessee and Texas. The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder is recruited as an outside linebacker. The Tide signed three five-star EDGE rushers in the ’23 class (Keon Keeley, Yhonzae Pierre, Qua Russaw). It can be selective at the position in this class. Ross will continue to receive heavy interest from the Tide.

Aeryn Hampton revealed his final two schools on Wednesday: Alabama and Texas. The former Texas commitment was considered an LSU lean earlier this spring, prior to return visits to Austin and Tuscaloosa. Hampton will take an official visit to Texas on June 17-19 followed by a visit to Alabama on June 23-25.
“Coach Wiggins has been recruiting me since I got the offer and has not backed off,” Hampton told On3 Sports. “I just love the conversation I had with coach Saban and how he could develop me and seeing all the great players they have developed. I know I could be one of those players if I were to attend Alabama.”
Daniel Calhoun named Alabama and Georgia as his top two schools after attending spring games at both schools this month. He has official visits scheduled to Georgia (6/2), Alabama (6/9), Tennessee (6/16) and Texas (6/23).
“Bama is always in the playoffs,” Calhoun told BamaInsider on why Alabama is in his top two. “Really it’s just the winning culture and development. I like the development at Alabama with Coach Wolf and Coach Saban. That’s what sticks out to me about them. The development and just how they coach.”
On300 TE Davon Mitchell (Sam Spiegelman, On3)
Davon Mitchell, the No. 1 tight end in the 2025 class per On3 Sports, revealed a top five on Friday which included Alabama, Miami, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M. The Alabama native moved to Texas after his freshman year. He then moved to the West Coast after a year at Allen High School.
“The reason that these 5 schools were chosen is because they are the ones who talk to me the most and the schools that I could see myself going to,” Mitchell informed On3. “Those schools also have a great way of using their tight ends and I also have a good relationship with those coaches.”
Oklahoma is currently considered the heavy favorite for Mitchell per the On3 Sports Recruiting Prediction Machine. He did not visit Alabama this spring. He is expected to return to Tuscaloosa this summer.

Recent commitments elsewhere:
Jordan Lyle, four-star running back, St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale (Ohio State)Trey’Dez Green, four-star tight end, East Feliciana HS in Jackson, Louisiana (LSU)Brady Prieskorn, four-star tight end, Adams HS in Rochester, Michigan (Michigan)
Do any of these players create a significant impact to Alabama’s recruiting class? Not really. All three, however, had received offers from the Crimson Tide. Jordan Lyle recently named his top five schools, and did come across as one who was on the verge of announcing a decision. Alabama will likely still recruiting the Buckeye commitment, but also has its sights set on uncommitted targets that includes Nathaniel Frazier, Kevin Riley and Daniel Hill.
Tight end is a key position of need for Alabama in the ’24 class. Trey’Dez Green and Brady Prieskorn were recruited, but also not expected in the class. Neither prospect visited Alabama this year. The Tide will like to get Green on campus for a visit this summer, but no current plans are in place. Be sure to read the updated Alabama Big Board for the complete list of targets at each position.
