Alabama, Courtney Morgan agree to three-year extension, averaging $825,000 per year, per report

According to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, Alabama and general manager Courtney Morgan have agreed on a new three-year contract just ahead of the 2024 season. Morgan has been a key addition to Kalen DeBoer’s staff since being hired and is now getting a pay increase, reportedly set to make $825,000 a year.

The extension for Morgan comes after Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans came after him to be the program’s President of Football. Instead, Morgan will stay in Tuscaloosa and continue to work for the Crimson Tide.

“Alabama and its star GM Courtney Morgan have agreed to a new three-year deal that will average about $825,000 per year, sources tell @247sports/ @CBSSports,” Zenitz said via X. “Morgan, a leading figure in the college front office space, was pursued for a president of football role by USC but stayed at Bama.”
