Alabama Basketball Roster Tracker: Keeping up with offseason movement

Alabama basketball’s 2023-24 season ended a week ago, and already, the pieces for next year are starting to shift. Whether players running out of eligibility, players coming and going via the NCAA transfer portal or players making NBA draft decisions, the Crimson Tide men’s basketball team will experience some changes after the Final Four loss to UConn.

Nate Oats and company will add and subtract players before Alabama begins offseason work for the 2024-25 campaign as the transfer portal window remains open until Wednesday, May 1. There are also some key NBA draft dates to keep in mind with underclassmen able to declare until April 27, and they have until May 29 to withdraw and return to school.

The most notable decisions to watch will be that of seniors Mark Sears and Grant Nelson, who can choose to come back for their final years of collegiate eligibility or turn pro – or even transfer if they choose. Outside of Aaron Estrada, all of Alabama’s seniors can return, and Oats said the quartet is welcome to do so. Whether they choose to remains to be seen.

Although the numbers will ebb and flow over the coming days and weeks, Alabama will look to round out its roster for another NCAA Tournament run in Year 6 under Oats’ leadership.

To try and make sense of the current roster, BamaOnLine looks at where things stand.
