Alabama and Auburn will get a 5-star back on campus later this month

Alabama and Auburn are two in-state schools on Anthony Jones‘ list and the Crimson Tide and Tigers have both made him feel like a priority. The No. 8 prospect in the 2026 On3 Industry Ranking has visited Tuscaloosa and the Plains at least five times already and he is set to visit each later this month.

He was last at Alabama at the end of May for camp and he was at Auburn on June 1. He will be back at Auburn on July 27, then at Alabama on July 28.

Each in-state program is high on his list.

“At Alabama, I like the coaching staff and how it’s close to home. It’s also a great atmosphere there and somewhere that will take care of my family,” Jones told On3. “With Auburn, the culture is great. It’s close to home too and my family loves being there. I feel like I will fit in well with the defense they run also.”

The five-star EDGE out of Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul’s Episcopal has a national offer ist. Outside of the in-state schools, he is being pursued by the likes of Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Texas A&M and many others.

The No. 1 EDGE in the country and the No. 1 prospect in the state of Alabama is in no rush to make a college decision. He is looking at taking his recruitment into his senior season as of now. There is an early group that stands out as he heads into his junior year though.

“LSU, Alabama, Texas A&M and Auburn are high on my list,” Jones added.
