Adidas 3SSB Palmetto Championships: Saturday Top Performers
Rock Hill, South Carolina – It was a who’s who of college coaches at the Adidas 3SSB Palmetto Championships all day Saturday. The clothing brand brought up to 200 teams to the Rock Hill Sports and Events Center for the six day event that will crown a single champion on Sunday.
On3’s Jamie Shaw was on site for the full day Saturday so let’s break down the top performers from the Adidas 3SSB Palmetto Championships on Saturday.
On3 MVP: 4-star C Malachi Moreno
In the biggest game of the day, in front of a standing room only crow and no less than 150 coaches, Malachi Moreno was the best player on the floor. The 7-foot-1 center moves in a very fluid manner, showcasing good hands and a nose for the basketball.
In a game where most possession he was against Five-Star Plus+ Koa Peat, Moreno finished the game with 21 points, 16 rebounds, and a few deflections and blocks. Kentucky head coach Mark Pope and Indiana head coach Mike Woodson were in the stands alongside coaches from North Carolina, Louisville, and more. He was really good around the rim today, protecting the paint and finishing plays.
2. 4-star SG Joson Sanon (Arizona State)
Consistently, throughout the week, Joson Sanon has put up big scoring outputs. The 6-foot-5 Arizona State commit is a smooth shooting guard. He is consistently able to get to his spots in the mid-range and gather clean looks. The Sun Devils locked up Sanon after a recent de-commitment from Arizona and there is talk of him coming on campus in the coming weeks.
Nothing that Sanon does is rushed, he has a good frame with excellent length. The shooting touch is smooth and consistent. He finished his morning showing with an efficient 32 points knocking down 4-8 from three and 8-9 from the free-throw line in the win.
3. Five-star Plus+ SG Caleb Holt (2026)
Duke head coach Jon Scheyer and Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson were joined on the baseline by coaches from Alabama, Auburn, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, and others to watch Caleb Holt go for 26 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 seals on 1-17 from the field.
It was a smooth performance, nothing rushed for the 6-foot-6 guard, but he was able to get to his spots and he finished his plays with efficiency. Holt has excellent positional size and his defensive instincts and tenacity are unique among his peers. The Five-Star Plus+ guard is coming off a gold medal-winning performance with the USA Basketball U17 team.
4. 4-star PG Tay Kinney (2026)
There is a smooth feel to Tay Kinney’s game. He is never rushed and is capable to dribble, shoot, and pass with excellent length. He plays on a Wildcat Select 16u team with 4-star point guard Jon Sanderson, and those two have such good chemistry together taking turns playing on and off the ball. This game, it was Kinney’s turn to get going.He has a smooth shooting stroke with range that extends well beyond the three-point arc. His handle is smooth, using a nice change-of-pace to get him to his spots and he sees the floor well. He finished with 24 points in 22 minutes played. He was 7-10 from the field,. 2-4 from three, and 8-8 from the free throw line.
4-star PG Ikenna Alozie (2026)
Ikenna Alozie has an explosive burst at the point of attack that makes him unique. The 6-foot-1 guard attacks the rim with a purose, but he also plays with a good pace. He finished mutliple dunks in traffic during this game that were huge momentum changers. Alozie defended well, whowcasing his quick hands and feet, he also has a violent physicalaity he uses when he gets downhill. He finished with 15 points and 5 rebounds, but it was h
6. 4-star SG Kayden Allen (2026)
Each time he steps on the floor this week, Kayden Allen has produced in an impressive manner. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard with the Team Loaded NC 16u program is a smooth scorer. He is never rushed and has an array of off balance and counter dribbles at pace. In this one On3’s No. 5 overall player in 2026 finished with 30 points, going 12-20 from the field and 4-9 from three. His size and length make him intriguing, but his ability to score at each level is what puts him in the upper-eschelon of players among his peers.
7. 5-star SF Nate Ament
Even in the games where Nate Ament is not scoring it well, he is still affecting the game at a high level. The 6-foot-9 wing, who has been one of the event’s best players, has become a force around the basket. He finished this Final Four game with 16 rebounds and two blocks. Ament is confident on the ball, he can handle in the open floor and he gets to his spots in the half-court. He made some really nice plays in the half-court here, exploring his space in the mid-post to get some clean looks. Ament played his game in front of Duke head coach Jon Scheyer, Kentucky head coach Mark Pope, Indiana head coach Mike Woodson, and others. Ament also added 15 points.
8. Five-Star Plus+ PF Koa Peat
Koa Peat’s performance on Friday night was probably the single best individual performance of the weekend. His physicality has been a difference-maker all week. He used his physicality in this one as well, and had a productive outing in the Final Four game against Indiana Elite. Peat is confident on the ball, pushing the break iwht control and getting the ball to dangerous areas on the court. He is also a very effective area rebounder. Peat was at his best today in the mid-post, especially when playing toward the basket, 15-feet and in. He finished with 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.
9. 4-star SF Winters Grady
Winters Grady is a confident scorer, and he has shown that all week. The 6-foot-6 wing has consistently done well self-creating and getting clean looks in the half-court. Grady has a smooth shooting touch with a consistent release point. He did well here getting to his spots. The three-level scorer came into the week with a reputation as a shotoer, he showed his chops as a more al-around bucket-getter throughout the Adidas 3SSB Palmetto Championships. Grady finished with an efficient 30 points, going 11-17 from the field 5-7 from three, and 6-8 from the free-throw line.
10. 3-star SG Matthew Able
The glow-up continues for Matthew Able. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is playing with a lot of confidence now. He has a smooth shooting stroke, which is not new for him, but now he is pushing the break and creating space off the bounce to step into his jump shot. Able has a projectable frame with excellent length and fluid athleticism. He also sticks his nose in there and battles for positional rebounds. Able finished the game with 35 points, going 11-16 from the field and 7-10 from three in today’s win.
Other Adidas 3SSB Saturday Top Perfomers
4-star Ben Ahmed (2026): The offensive end is where Ahmed shines. The 6-foot-9 post player has a very strong base with an excellent feel to carve out space and create clean looks on the block. The big-framed lefty finished his morning showing with 12 points and 8 rebounds, going 4-5 from the field with a three.
4-star PF Davion Adkins (2026): The explosive pop and the timing that Adkins has is unique. He has a strong base that goes well with excellent length. But his ability to run and move makes him a constant threat, on both ends, around the basket. The lefty is adding to his game with touch on the jump shot, he knocked down multiple pick-and-pop middies and jump hooks this morning. Texas A&M was joined by other programs who were in and out throughout his 15-point, 7-rebound performance.
4-star SG Christian Wiggins (2026): He has a smooth feel to his game which is quite appealing. Standing in the 6-foot-5 range, the shooting guard plays within himself, not getting off his own pace and consistently making plays with the ball. The jump shot is smooth, and he plays off that. He moves the ball well and handles in the open floor. He finished with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists, going 6-11 from the field.
4-star SF Jasir Rencher (2025): He has a lot of tools with his lengthy 6-foot-6 frame and smooth skill base. Rencher found opportunities this morning and was able to capitalize on them. Schools like Utah and Alabama were watching as he finished with 17 points and 7 rebounds.
3-star SG Zachary Foster (2025): There is a smooth feel to Foster’s game. He has good length and takes the jump shot with confidence. He also threw a couple of very nice passes in the half-court. He finished with 21 points while going 5-10 from three in his afternoon showing.
4-star CG Kaden Magwood (2025): There is some electric scoring ability with Magwood’s game. Teh 6-foot-1 guard finished with 18 points on 2-4 shooting from three. He has a quick handle and is decisive in getting to this spots. While he did have some issues taking care of the ball, his scoring prowess kept his Team Loaded Va team in the game.
4-star F Sebastian Wilkins (2026): He brings consistent performances to the table. He has a strong frame with long arms and a consistent motor. In Mass Rivals’ win today Wilkins finished with 8 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists.
4-star PG JJ Mandaquit (2025): Mandaquit plays with a great pace, never rushed when he has the ball i his hands he makes plays off a live dribble for himself and others. The 6-foot-2 guard scored well at the rim finishing with 18 points and going 6-11 from inside the three-point arc.
4-star PF Trent Sisley (2025): While nothing was earth-shattering with Sisley’s performance, he was steady. WIth his steadiness came production. In the semi-final win against the Compton Magic, the 6-foot-8 forward had 11 points and 5 rebounds while going 4-8 from the field. He made the plays he was asked to make.
3-star PF Tre Singleton (2025): The burly 6-foot-8 forward was one of the bigger stock risers from the week. For me, it was the passing that really popped. AT his size he is a switchable defender, but he was able to create agnles and qcuikly process on target and on time. He also knocked down multiple jumpers as he finished his afternoon game with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists on 3-6 from three.
