ACC and SEC programs are at the top for 2025 CB Rasean Dinkins

ACC and SEC programs are at the top for 2025 CB Rasean Dinkins

Warner Robins (Ga.) three-star cornerback Rasean Dinkins is planning to commit before his senior season. Florida State, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, UCF and USC are some of the schools involved in his recruitment.

Dinkins – who is hoping to be committed before the start of his senior season – has already visited the Yellow Jackets three times, along with the Bulldogs and the Seminoles. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound cornerback is hearing from Georgia Tech, Mississippi State and Ole Miss every day and has set official visits to each of these programs.

“I am looking for people that have the same mindset as me,” Dinkins told On3. “I also want to find a place that has a great atmosphere and offers a great education. I’m not really worried about winning college football games right now. I want to be somewhere where I can be myself and get to where I want to be.”

Florida State and Georgia Tech want Dinkins to play in the ACC

Dinkins does not have an official visit scheduled to Florida State, which will change soon. That is because he knows he will take an official to Tallahassee and is working on setting up the trip with the Seminoles’ coaches.

The No. 71 player in Georgia speaks with multiple members of Florida State’s staff. One of them is head coach Mike Norvell

“They’re very welcoming,” said Dinkins, the No. 738 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. “I love how the coaches coach. They connect with you about everything from things in the film room and on the field to things outside of football.”

Georgia Tech is also working to get Dinkins, the No. 61 cornerback in the 2025 On300, to the ACC. The Yellow Jackets are one of the programs currently in his top five.

Outside linebackers/rush coach Kyle Pope, who contacts Dinkins daily, is the three-star’s top contact at Georgia Tech. One of the reasons he likes the Yellow Jackets is because of the environment around their campus.

“The coaching staff acts like brothers,” Dinkins said. “They act like I’m playing with them. They show love to me.”

Mississippi State and Ole Miss also have Dinkins’ attention

Dinkins visited Mississippi State during the fall. He is looking forward to returning to Starkville for his official visit.

The Georgia native has enjoyed getting to know the Bulldogs’ “cool” coaching staff and the program’s players, who have showed him what it is like to play for the SEC school. Dinkins and co-defensive coordinator/safeties coach Matt Barnes have developed a strong bond, as they connect about things both on and off the field.

“He has showed me a lot of film and how things would work if I was to commit to Mississippi State,” Dinkins said. “He also showed me where I would be located on the defense.”

Mississippi State’s in-state rival is also pushing for Dinkins. His upcoming official visit to Ole Miss will be his first time on the Rebels’ campus.

“I really want to see how the coaches interact with me, how they go about coaching their players and how they interact with them outside of football,” Dinkins said.
