LOOK: Another peak inside Ole Miss spring football practices
Ole Miss is two practices into 2023 spring football.
Thirteen more to go.
The Rebels are scheduled to practice again on Saturday, when they’re expected to put on some pads for the first time after two straight shorts-and-shirts sessions. The annual Grove Bowl — a game-like, full-team scrimmage — typically brings the spring to a close.
The Rebels, however, will practice two more times after that.
“Good to get back out there. Once again, a lot of new faces in the portal world that we live in. A lot of new coaches. So, a lot to work on there,” Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin said this week. “We feel there are a lot of similarities to last year; you have a lot of new pieces in here this year and a brand-new defensive scheme to work them into as well.”
For now, though, we wait.
But, hey, at least the Spirit has additional photos (courtesy of Bruce Newman) from Thursday’s sessions to tide us over.
