Who Kentucky coaches watched to open Peach Jam

Who Kentucky coaches watched to open Peach Jam

The evaluation period for NCAA-certified events opened on Thursday at 8 a.m. ET, allowing college coaches to line gyms across the country to watch future recruiting targets in person. No event matters more than the Nike EYBL Peach Jam, a gathering of the best players in grassroots basketball all under one roof. That’s where John Calipari started, rolling in bright and early on Thursday to open the event in North Augusta, joined by assistant coaches Orlando Antigua and Chin Coleman.

But they weren’t alone. In fact, two short hours outside the Riverview Park Activities Center was new assistant Chuck Martin, who was announced as an official addition to the staff on Thursday. He set up shop in Rock Hill, SC for the 3SSB circuit finals, sporting Kentucky gear on the trail for the first time while learning the ropes of recruiting at a blue blood.

It’s all an effort to see the cream rise to the top, potential targets looking to separate themselves while playing at the highest level possible, rising seniors for the final time before making the jump to college this time next year. Who is trending at the right time, capable of leading their team to a Peach Jam title? And more importantly, who is Kentucky watching closely among 2024, 2025 and 2026 recruits?

KSR has boots on the ground in North Augusta to keep track of it all.
