Auburn Football Recruiting Hot Board: Offense

Auburn has eight commitments in its 2024 recruiting class with four projected to play on offense.

There’s still plenty of work to be done before the early signing period begins in December. There’s also plenty of time.

What is left for Auburn on offense in the 2024 class? Who are the top recruits at each position and what are Auburn’s chances with each?

Below are the recruits I believe are the top targets at each position and my guesses at Auburn’s chances of signing them. Keep in mind, the percentages are Auburn’s chances against the field.

Quarterback (1)

Auburn wanted one quarterback in its class and already has committed its top target at the position. White is a top-100 overall recruit (96) and the No. 1 recruit in Arkansas. He committed to Auburn over Clemson.

Auburn on Friday added two more names to its running back board in Watson and Durham. Neither have set a visit to Auburn, but both plan to as quickly as possible. Keep an eye on Watson. He is from Georgia, so already somewhat familiar with Auburn. He’s committed to Louisville, but visited Auburn last fall and could return later this month. Durham also plans to visit Auburn. He isn’t as familiar with the Tigers as Watson.

I like Auburn’s chances with Coleman and have logged a prediction for him to sign with Auburn. Thompson is committed to Alabama, but announced on Sunday his plans to attend Big Cat at the end of the month. I think it’s more accurately a toss-up right now for him between the Tide and Tigers. I would not be surprised to see Thompson flip. Of course, I also wouldn’t be surprised to see him stick. Again, probably best to take a wait-and-see approach with him, at least for now.

Odom and Jackson are the top two targets to be Auburn’s second tight end in the class, but the Tigers aren’t considered a serious threat for either at this time. Like with running back, I think new names will emerge here soon.

Riggs could have a decision soon and it appears to be between Auburn and Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets, the local favorite, and new coach Brent Key could be tough to beat here. Auburn has some confidence with Taumua, but so does Oregon. The Ducks might be the team to beat.
