Nightly Recruiting Briefing: Henry Hasselbeck commits to Michigan State

In tonight’s Nightly Recruiting Briefing we will discuss the newest Michigan State commitment. We will also discuss the buzz following the announcement and more.

Henry Hasselbeck commits to MSU

Michigan State got their quarterback commitment in the class of 2024 on June 30, landing three-star Henry Hasselbeck of Boston (MA) Xavieran Brothers. Hasselbeck, the son of former 18 year NFL veteran Matt Hasselbeck, announced his commitment via social media.

He committed to the Spartans after two visits to Michigan State. His official visit came during the weekend of June 2, returning with his mother to East Lansing in mid-June. He also took official visits to Boston College, Alabama Birmingham, and Pittsburgh. Hasselbeck committed to the Spartans over his father’s, and uncle Tim Hasselbeck’s alma mater and other ties at Boston College. The three-star QB also decommitted from Maryland lacrosse on June 30, deciding to play football full time at the next level.
