Five-Star Linebacker Justin Williams Nearing Decision
Oregon is in the hunt for several 2024 5-stars – not the least of whom is the nation’s No. 1 linebacker Justin Williams of Oak Ridge High in Conroe (Texas).
The On3 Industry Ranking pegs Williams as the nation’s No. 14 overall rising senior and the No. 3 prospect in the always-loaded Lone Star State.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder only made two trips in June: to Oregon and Georgia on consecutive weeks. He told ScoopDuck he’s ready for a break from recruiting.
“No more visits until season,” he said.
Oregon takeaways
“It was good. I’ve been so many times, and I’ve seen everything. It was good positive energy.
“Coach (Dan) Lanning was very adamant that if I was there, I would make a difference there.”
The Eugene experience
“We went to his house. It was fun and open to us, and (he) believes in you.
“(We) played knockout. We played a competition thing, and our team won.”
